Kim Delaney was an American actress from America. She is most famous for her character, Detective Diane Russell, in the ABC show NYPD Blue. For this she was awarded the Emmy Award. Her roles comprise All My Children Philly CSI: Miami & Army Wives. Born as the only daughter of a high-ranking executive in the United Auto Workers and a homemaker Delaney grew up with her four brothers. As a child she was aspired to become a court reporter. However, after graduating from high school, and moving to New York in the 1980s and began to model, she was hooked. Her first film role was as a teenager as a child in All My Children, a 1981 soap opera. Delaney, a young actress in the 80s, has been featured in several films TV movies and dramas. Her professional career has been better than her personal life. The skilled actor struggled with alcoholism as well as two failed marriages. In 2005, she was denied the custody of her son.
